Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor, producer and director. Her work has been recognized for movies like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with many awards for her performance, including an Oscar. She began her career acting as an actress both on Broadway and Off Broadway. Passionate about acting since the time she was in school, she portrayed Helen Keller in a play in the fifth grade. Mumps caused her to be deaf and blind in one ear, but she did not allow this hinder her progress as an actress. The college she attended was drama after which she moved between Pittsburgh and moved to New York City to follow her goals. Hunter was trapped in the elevator of playwright Beth Henley when she met her. Together they created Broadway Crimes of the Heart in which Hunter made her Broadway debut. Her first film role came after she relocated from Los Angeles. She has since appeared in numerous films and television series and movies throughout a span of more than three decades. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and she also received the Women in Film Lucy Award.
